Eh? No one's saying that chalk and milk are the same, just that the words are derived from the same root, as chalk is milk-coloured. It's the same way that the root לבן, "white", also gives us words in Hebrew for moon, underwear, brick (in the ancient Middle East bricks were beige, not red) and yoghurt.
