Oh, I see. Aside from the fact I don't think the speaker was seriously suggesting this as a task that should either be attempted or had a cat in hell's chance of succeeding, I get the impression that the idea was, rather than simply converting the Pope, bringing about a wholesale change in Christian theology. Carrying out the former without the latter would merely result in rifting the Church. (Again.)
