Does anyone want to read a short story of mine? I put it through my writers group once, and it required quite a bit of reworking afterwards. Some say you shouldn't have a story critiqued more than once, as you can never please everyone; but if I'm making more than minor changes, I prefer to be reassured I haven't made mistakes in the process. So I put it through the group again; and it again required some reworking.

I don't want to put it through the group a third time (and in any case I'd like it proofread by people who haven't read it beforehand), but I still think I'd like my changes sanity checked.

Possibly some readers would still regard it as having big-pictures flaws, or that it could be improved in other ways; but at present I'm really just checking there's no minor errors in it - clunky sentences, for example, or things which might not be explained properly due to the explanation having been cut. It's two years since I started work on this story (obviously, I haven't been working on it continuously for that time!) and I'd like to get it finished off and out to markets.
