Which is interesting, and I hadn't thought of it that way myself. Let's hope we continue to get on better this time.
(Me, personally: of my great-grandparents' families, one came from Turkey, three from "Russia" (which could mean anywhere in the Pale of Settlement; four from Lithuania, one from Germany, three I don't know, and only four from Poland, of which the surname of one suggests an earlier Lithuanian origin.)
