There's a pub I cycle past the back of which on my way to work. When I first started that route, someone had drawn a cartoon character with a beer tankard in hand on it, with the speech bubble "BEER—IT'S NOT JUST FOR BREAKFAST."

After a year or so the owners noticed, and painted over it. Very shortly afterwards, a new graffito appeared, reading "BAN THE BEANS—GIVE PEAS A CHANCE."

Today I discovered that had been painted over too, but a new graffito was already present, reading "GOD PUT US IN A GARDEN, NOT AN OFFICE."

I wonder what will be next...

In the last year or two, I've noticed (once [livejournal.com profile] aviva_m had pointed it out to me) hechshers reading "Kosher for Passover and all year round". Presumably they are intended for non-Jews buying for food Jews who might otherwise think food labelled "Kosher for Passover" could only be eaten at Passover.

Personally, though, I think they should change the text: in many cases it ought, IMNSHO, to read: "Kosher for Passover; best avoided during the rest of the year."
