Bah, humbug: I fell ill last night, and spent the whole night awake and shivering despite having the electric blanket on high, a dressing gown on top of my pyjamas, and a second quilt on top of the first. (Also befuddledly trying to figure out where to slot two portions of apple crumble I had in my fridge into the Periodic Table of the Elements.) This morning I've discovered I'm running a temperature of 38.4°C (101.6°F).
This is very annoying, as it means I shall have to 'phone up the blood donation place and tell them to throw away the blood I donated last week; that's the second time this has happened. I seem to fall ill in December regular as clockwork. :-(
