Aunt Tillie
Friday, June 29th, 2012 07:03 pmI recently came across a reference to Aunt Tillie, which a few seconds googling revealed refers to "The archetypal non-technical user, one's elderly and scatterbrained maiden aunt. Invoked in discussions of usability for people who are not hackers and geeks; one sees references to the 'Aunt Tillie test'."
This amused me, because I really did have a great-great Auntie Tilly, though I'm not aware she ever tried to use a computer. (She died in 1993, at the age of ninety-six.)
