Limmud talks this year

I've just heard back from Limmud; here's the sessions they've asked me to
present:

Sat 22 Dec 19:45-20:40 - Twenty things about Hebrew they never taught you in Cheder
Mon 24 Dec 12:20-13:30 - A fun ramble through the Semitic languages

They say:

However, if any of your sessions have not been scheduled, but you would prefer to swap the deleted session with another that has been scheduled, this may be possible (as long as it has already been submitted), i.e. same timeslot, different content.

After all the work I've put in on the Samaritan talk, I think I'm going to swap out one of them (probably the Monday) so I can give that!

Well you've given the Semitic languages one several times, haven't you? Hope you get to give the Samaritan talk. At least they haven't given you horrible slots.

I've given both of them several times. I've asked to move the Semitic languages one on Saturday and use the Monday slot (higher audience, as more people!) for the Samaritan Torah talk.

They haven't given me horrible slots because (a) I didn't tick the boxes saying I would be prepared to present in horrible slots, and (b) I chewed their head off a year or two ago when, having said I would require the use of a digital projector, they gave me a slot on Shabbos, and I had to convert my PowerPoint presentation at fairly short notice into something Shabbos-friendly.

It seems to be interesting. I won't be at Limmud. I only was there once when I had full-time job in their creche. That meant I was hardly able to do anything else besides my job looking after babies and toddlers.

I switched the Semitic languages one to Saturday, and am now giving the Samaritan one on Monday. The Hebrew language talk originated as overflow from my research for the Semitic languages talk; I've been giving both talks at Limmud every year I've done them.
