I have always used the Yekkish pronunciation; however I find that with the exception of a few common words, transcribing Hebrew according to Ashkenazi pronunciation looks wrong however I do it, so I tend to avoid it. This is why I often post using Hebrew letters: everyone can read it as they please. (Also, to answer your point with more pedantry than was probably called for, I have only recently been saying "Shabbas Bereishis", since I realised that "Shabbos Bereishis" is grammatically incorrect.)
