I completely disagree that the prohibition of pork has not health reasons. It definetly has health reasons even more than shell fish and pheasant (which is only a wild chicken). Especially in a warm or hot country pork gets quickly rotten and developes bacteries which are very unhealthy for us or even poisoning. I heard that nowadays you can have tape worms in it. Pigs eat everything. So no wonder they have tape worms. Pork is very fatty, too. I don't understand what is wrong with pheasant and ostrich when any other bird on the ground is all right.
