That's a rather unhelpful angle; the intruder is reflecting so much light you can hardly see it. I suspect it's a Christmas or Easter cactus, from the shape of the leaves and their known ability to regenerate whole plants from bits of leaf tissue.

It was difficult to get the thing to focus well with the light fading. (I could have used a flash but I much prefer taking photos in daylight.) Maybe I'll try again tomorrow in the daylight; I've just tried again now with flash, and haven't been able to do any better.

And where would one of those just happen to drop into my plantpot from? I assumed it was more likely sprouting from a windblown seed. I also thought the two fully-grown leaves probably started life as cotyledons, and therefore would not reflect the shape of the plant's normal leaves. No doubt we'll find out more when the little ones in the centre have fully inflated.
