One havdala candle, made from the leftover wax drippings of my previous one (plus Chanukah candles).

Thanks, darcydodo, for that suggestion.

Now I know this works (i.e. that there weren't problems with air bubbles from making such thin candles, or that softening them to twist around each other didn't turn into a complete disaster), next time I might try making three, so I can plait them properly.

My tried and trusted one, partly because I didn't have the patience for endless dipping, partly because I don't have a deep enough bucket of wax for it... and partly because I didn't remember your suggestions until after I'd made the candle.

I had it in my hand. You gave it to me the half way through Havdalah when the rest of your bought candle fell off the knive. It is a nice candle. I don't have any idea how to make one especially not a Havdalah candle.
