"There will be some changes next year," Rob said in the meeting. "Those in my team already know this, but... we're splitting the team." At that moment there was a flash of lightning and a roll of thunder. Very melodramatic, if not for the fact that everyone started laughing a moment later.

Actually, as it turns out, at that time a tornado was wreaking devastation two miles to the north. "Well, that's really stolen Rob's thunder" was my comment.

I took the Tube in today, but I'll be cycling past the scene of the damage on my way in tomorrow. Which hopefully ought to give time for them to clear any broken glass from the street...

[Added: There wasn't actually anything to see in a quick ride-by rubbernecking; just a couple of streets closed off by police. Maybe if I'd stopped to goggle I might have seen some damage, but I didn't see any houses with walls torn out of anything.]

(Last excitement on this route home was last year, when they arrested one of the 21st July would-be bombers just off my cycle route. The road was blocked off by police... and the alternate routes by OB vans with satellite dishes on the roofs...)

Oh, my goodness. I heard a load bang but it was just the thunder. I was out for shopping but I only street work in Golders Green. The pictures don't look like North West London nor Finchley. Where did the Tornado happen?

I saw the fire bridge here as well but no damage was visible. I did not even know why they are here. Everybody was just looking whoever passed.

I looked into my Collins London map. It is next to Kilburn. I have been in Kilburn but not in Kensal Rise. It is NW6. It seem to be count to the same area as Kilburn.
