Last year, taking luminiferous to Limmud, it took me a lot less time to get my Limmud blog ready afterwards; but it still took a fair bit of time. This year I intend to see if I can bring that down further, but moving more of the work into when I'm typing it up during the sessions, when I don't have time for typing long HTML formatting. Making macros to HTML-format my text as I type it for a start is only the start. What I'd like to be able to do is press C-x C-i jer 3:1-14 and have it automatically insert Jeremiah 3:1–14 in two columns, KJV down the left and Hebrew down the right. (Likewise, sans the English, for quotations from the Mishna, and Gemara of both Palestinian and Babylonian Talmuds.)

I'm going up to Newcastle for my father's sixtieth birthday this weekend; looks like I've just given myself something to get coding on the way up...
