SNOW!!!!

(And about time, too! I mean, what's the point of getting all miserable and cold if you don't get snow to make it worth it?)

Now watch Michael fall off his bike on the way to work...
(Later...)

Well, I got to work okay (though I did feel like calling out to all the other cyclists I saw, "Cycling on a day like this? Are you nuts!?"), and as I cycled in, the security guard at the gate said "Well done, Michael!" :o)

(Later still...)

Throwing snowballs from the top of a seven-storey building is fun!

Last year, when we got snow—probably more than we've got today—I thought, I can manage this, so long as I stay in ruts where other traffic has gone. I was fine until I left the ruts to swerve around a speed bump. Fortunately, there was enough hard-packed ice when I hit the road, I merely skidded along it for fifteen feet. As there's no ice today, just a thin layer of snow, I had better be careful. Fortunately, I learn from my mistakes. Also, this year I'm using a hybrid bike, with better traction than the racer I was using last year.

It was a problem for the workers to come here. The door bell rang the first time but it was just my ebay parcel with my new watch. Then it was the workers. I was just going to phone the landlord when they finally arrived. They had some accident on the way. They worked until 5pm today which is usually very late for them. They are still working on the bathroom and toilet.
The snow melted away very fast. You must have had much easier getting home.

I rode a 400cc Honda 200 miles through a persistent blizzard once. *That* was nuts.
