Reasons to love Google #124.....
  1. Go to Google
  2. Click on "maps"
  3. Click on "get directions"
  4. Type "New York" in the first box (the "from" box)
  5. Type "London" in the second box (the "to" box)
  6. Hit get directions, and observe step #24 in the directions
*giggle*

I used MS autoroute once to test a theory of mine, that one should be able to step sideways between simliar places - Perth (Scotland) to Perth (Australia) for instance. Therefore I asked it for the best route between Mynydd Isa (Norht Wales) and Mount Isa (Australia), starting from my then location in Chester.

The asnwer: You can't get there from here.

chester to Mynydd Isa. Six miles by road, and it couldn't find a route...

Look up how to get from Scotland to England. The first instruction was to head south 0.7 miles.

Head south from where?

I love how all the other directions are about 30miles long, at most; yet the "swim across the ocean" is 3 462 miles.

On another note, I just looked at how to get to Lisbon from NYC. You have to travel to Le Havre and then drive all the way through France to get to Portugal. Well that's unnecessary!
