Ancient Lothian is an excellent website I just came across, all about Lothian's Brythonic origins. Did you know the name derives from Lleuddinyawn, meaning land of [the sun-god] Lleu's fortress? I'm not entirely sure, but I think this makes "Lleu-din [iawn]" the same etymologically as "Lúgh dun", a.k.a. London; which means that in moving from Edinburgh to London I've merely moved from one fort dedicated to Lúgh to another. :o)

I'm intrigued also to learn a hoard of bronze weapon fragments was dredged from Duddingston Loch in Edinburgh, right on the doorsteps of where I used to live.

I'm sure there's much more of interest in this website, but have currently run out of lunchbreak in which to read it.

Addetum: And here's another cool factoid to go along with the one about London above.
