milon.co.il is a great concept: an online English-Hebrew-English dictionary which returns you not only the word you're looking for, but a summary of the translation from Wikipedia in both languages. Isn't synthesis great?

Meanwhile I've now learned over 150 new words since I started my ulpan, of which seventeen are built on stems I already knew, which I could possibly have figured out on my own, but it's better to learn properly; eight I knew once but had forgotten, and eight I know related words for in Classical Hebrew to aid my memorisation of them.

‫ בינתיים, כבר למדתי יותר מ־150 מלים חדשות לפני שהתחלתי באלופני. יש ל־17 מהם שורשים שכבר ידעתי; עולי אני יוכל להבין אותם בלבדי, אבל זה יותר טוב ללמוד אותם כיאות. פעם אחת ידעתי עוד שמנה מהם; ויש עוד שמנה שקל ללמוד מפני שאני יודע מלים קשורות מהעברית הסידור והתנ״ך.

Meanwhile, a useful little discovery in the last week or two: If you, frex, end a sentence in Hebrew with the traditional סוף פסוק character (׃), Firefox will lay it out correctly to the left of the Hebrew text; if, however, you use a Latin full-stop as in modern Hebrew, if there's no Hebrew following it will appear incorrectly at the right of the last line. However, you can force correct layout with a series of Unicode characters between 0x202A and 0x202E.
