I'm pissed off. I'm supposed to be at Moishe House now; it's the third of a series of four Beit Midrash sessions on the purpose of the Temple as Maimonides saw it—only when it came to be time to go, I couldn't find my bike lights. I thought if it takes me less than twenty minutes to find them, I can still be there late but quicker than if I'd taken the bus. But they didn't turn up in forty minutes, and now I've given up; and my place looks a mess because of all the things I flung on the floor whilst sweeping items off shelves looking.
I can't figure it out. I never put things away unless they're in their right place, as I know this will happen; why would I have broken my own rule when I came in from the Purim party, the last time I was out at night? I've looked everywhere, including the bathroom cabinet, kitchen cupboards and down the backs of bookcase shelves with room to spare on top of the books.
The annoying thing is that I mentioned a couple of things last week that the person taking the class didn't know, and was interested in; and I'd prepared sheets to give out this week to elucidate him and the others more. (I was going to give them out so people could read them afterwards, rather than taking time away from the one-hour class, which was fairly tight for time the last two times.)
If my lights don't turn up in the next few days, I'm going to have to get replacements. And then I'll just be annoyed at having two sets when the originals inevitably turn up. *sigh*
