My life is too boring; I ought to go out and liven it up.
I had the idea yesterday of going for a hot-air balloon ride. This seems to strike the right balance—one part exhilaration, eight parts pleasure and one part sheer terror (landing)—and it doesn't require large amounts of travel to do.
Now the question is: should I leave it until a birthday or other special event (problem: my birthday is in March, when the weather isn't likely to be so good), or make hay while the sun shines. (The problem with the latter is: if I do things like this on the spur of it, what's left to do to celebrate my birthday? I suppose I could just count it as a late thirty-fifth birthday present from myself.)
