I think this needs somewhat more explanation.

Oh, you're back online. *bounce*hug*

There was a caricaturist at my departmental Christmas party yesterday; just wandering around the place drawing everyone in his path. What do you think? ;^)

Well, not terribly in fact. My dad's computer is back in circulation, but he's using it to work from most of the time. So I doubt I shall get a turn again before Sunday evening (given I'm away from tomorrow afternoon anyway), and maybe not even then depending on timing. I'm also resisting the temptation to write long emails or LJ posts now, given how late it is already.

*bounce*hug*wist*
Only you could bounce and wist in the same sentence. Although sentence might be too grand a word for it. Believe me, I don't particularly enjoy being incommunicado either; I am rather looking forward to getting back to Dundee and my own internet all to myself. Have lots of stuff to tell you!

Thank you, that was exactly what I wanted to know.

What do you think?
The eyes are good, the mouth is awful, the nose is somewhere in between, and the rest is sort of rather generic caricature stuff. Not sure I'd have recognized it as you without further clues.

Paul thought it only bore passing resemblance to me. I thought so too at first, but have softened on this since. The big cheesy grin was because that was what I had on my face. I kept trying to get rid of it, because I knew he was going to put it on, but evidently without any success.

Have a good time at Hengrave, BTW.

Well, I'm pleased to hear you were in such a good mood that you couldn't stop grinning even though you were trying to; that sounds like a good party! But I would have thought that you'd be particularly easy to caricature when grinning, since your grin is so instantly recognizable. And this artist just hasn't got it at all, which is why I don't think the piece works too well as a whole.

Thank you! It was indeed wonderful, and I shall post about it soon in a decidedly bounce-ish way.

I have no idea what I look like when grinning.
