Reacting to the tsunami: reading material in Yakar

On davening in Yakar last Shabbos, I discovered there printouts of an article written for Aish HaTorah describing the tragedy that has unfolded in the Indian Ocean as the result of human sin. I was astonished to see these in Yakar; this is the kind of thing I might expect to see in the JLE, or indeed Aish, but not Yakar.
Then I saw a second set of printouts, of the Chief Rabbi's reaction to the tsunami in the Times, which espouses the opposite point of view, namely that natural disasters are part and parcel of living in this world, and the question to ask is not "How did G-d allow this to happen" but "What can we do to help, now?"
I felt much happier knowing that this second article was also available, and indeed that both were available to read together.
