Is anyone actually looking for meaningful content here?

It's one thing to have "problems currently reported on this route" and "planned engineering works taking place" reported for a Tube or train line, or even a bus route, but how the hell can you have them on a walking route? Problems reported: knee pain; planned engineering works: an elastoplast over yesterday's blisters? ;^)

LOL :)

Well, you could have them on a walking route. Eg. if the road was closed.

As it is, it probably does make sense to report if King's Cross St Pancras is closed, or nearly so, for journeys starting there, because many people might be planning to arrive there by tube if they plan a journey starting there. (If you enter "King's Cross Rail Station" it lists fewer closures, but still some.)

Except that what it actually reported for problems was disruption to the Tube lines.

Yeah, but that's nearly the same thing, whether they physically shut the station or not. People planning a route from the station probably fall into three categories (a) people who have business at the station itself, (b) people who starting nearby and used it as a convenient landmark (c) people who were planning on arriving at the station by some other form of transport and then changing. And I bet the last category are probably more than 30%, probably more than 60%, and if so, it makes sense to provide them that information, even if the page layout they have to display it looks stupid :)
