Is that how they immitate a rainy weather with thunder and lightening for films? I have seen some examples on TV when I had one how made noise with certain objects but never people without using anything but their own body.

Probably not how they do it for films. For films, they probably play back a recording of real rain and thunder.

Mindy lives in Italy but is from Newcastle originally. I don't know any Italians at present.
