In the middle of Haughton Crater, couple of hundred miles from the magnetic north pole, in a tent, on top of a breccia hill, next to a prototype Mars drill.
Mind that drilling so close to the magnetic north pole. Wouldn't want the pole damaged; it could be quite a bit of work to remagnetise the Earth. <vision of billions of people stroking magnets along the ground in synchrony>
There is a big magnetic anomaly in the centre of the crater, actually. No one knows why. It could be a fragment of the asteroid, but no trace of the asteroid has ever been found, so it's unclear what's going on there.
