Succah

This year my succah featured artwork from the Grassroots Jews marquis kindly provided by the GRJ artist extraordinaire Elliott Tucker:

(That's actually just the top two thirds of the poster; I had to cut it down to size—with Elliott's permission—to get it to fit in. There was a second poster too, but after my hopes of a lift fell through, it was all I could do to get the first one back from Moishe House on my bike before Succos.)

(Or at least, that's how it looked before my shall we say less than ideally behaved ten-year-old guest got to it on the first day of yom tov...)

Nifty succah is nifty, but enormous photo is enormous...

That's actually a scaled-down version I made for putting on the Web. The original is six photos stitched together: to have shot it in a single photograph would have required standing twenty feet behind the back wall of the succah (and the brick wall behind it)!

It only takes up about 80% of the width of my screen, and my screen isn't exceptionally high resolution by today's standards. (The one I'm using at work is at least a third as large again.)

I suppose it probably would fill up a laptop screen...

Forced his way past to get out of the succah when there wasn't room, and tore the poster loose from where it had been tied and taped in place at the left-hand edge.
