It's not a planet, damn it. It's a Kuiper Belt Object. This solar system has eight planets known to date, not nine and not ten.
But it does raise an interesting question: how large would a KBO or Oort object have to be before I accepted it as a planet? Well, this would do for a start. Though of course it hasn't been more than hypothesised yet, last I heard, and for all I know it's a captured brown dwarf or free-floating planet, not an Oort object.
