Prince Denmark

Amongst the ways in which Germany is twenty to thirty years behind the UK on progressive issues is cigarette advertising (i.e. it still exists). Every day when I come to work, I chain my bike to a bike rack advertising Prince Denmark cigarettes... and every day it annoys me by its lack of an "of" between the two words.

Astonishingly, they're not the people behind Hamlet cigars...

I KNOW. I pointed it out to a German friend and I think I offended her a bit by saying it made me feel like I was in Russia again!!!
I mean the cigarette advertising made me feel like that, rather than the Prince Denmark cigarettes ;)

I was quite surprised to still find smoking sections in restaurants. Especially one family I saw where the man sat at table on the edge of the smoking section, so he could smoke and talk to the others about a metre away in the non-smoking section...
