Organ donation

I've seen lots of friends recently posting to say they've signed up to the organ donor register, after a mutual friend posting about her heart transplant. On the one hand it's pleasing to see people doing that; on the other it's a little discouraging that it took seeing a friend need a transplant to get people to sign up. (Those who know me will have heard me for years occasionally saying "I forgot my organ donor card; better make sure I don't die today"...)
