Today I wrote that to a cow-orker, who wrote back "418, as the schizophrenic coffee machine said to the server."
Hmm, I thought, I don't know that HTTP response code, and headed off to Wikipedia to look it up.
415 Unsupported Media Type... 416 Range Not Satisfiable... 417 Expectation Failed... ah, here we go: 418 I'm a teapot (RFC 2324).

This code was defined in 1998 as one of the traditional IETF April Fools' jokes, in RFC 2324, Hyper Text Coffee Pot Control Protocol, and is not expected to be implemented by actual HTTP servers. The RFC specifies this code should be returned by tea pots requested to brew coffee.[53] This HTTP status is used as an easter egg in some websites, including Google.com.[54]"I kid you not.
