In the wake of my Marom Olami seminar in Prague last year, I seem to have got onto the Prague Masorti community mailing list. I don't mind it; it's interesting to see what they're up to, and the emails onto come occasionaly. Today's email included:

5. Jidiš/Hebrejské slovo týdne – KVÍZ!!! Tento týden vám nenabízíme nové slovo, ale…opakování (které je matkou moudrosti). V příloze najdete Kvíz, ve kterém si můžete ověřit, jak dobře si pamatujete slova z minulých týdnů.

5. Yiddish/Hebrew word of the week – Quiz!!! Instead of a new word this week, we offer you …revision! In the attachment, there is a short quiz that will help you revise the words we learnt in the past couple of weeks.

As part of which was the following, as part of a multiple choice question (only two of the four choices make sense):

My granny makes the best strawberry shiduch in the world.

I find this hilarious! (For the incognoscenti, a shidduch is a match/arranged date.)
