Er, no, rather, let's talk about films before I get completely sidetracked by seeeeeeaweed. Now I have a DVD player it's my intention to start catching up on all the films people have been recommending me for ages. curious_reader recommends Easy Cinema as appropriate for someone who's likely to be an occasional DVD renter rather than a regular.
Which only leaves the question of what to watch. Various people (particularlyrysmiel) have recommended me films beforehand, but I've not noted them down in a central place like I do with my to-read list; if people want to make recommendations to me now, I can start such a list up.
For my first block of four DVDs, I was thinking of Yojimbo and Hidden Fortress, both of which I've been meaning to see for ages. I have a vague memory ofrysmiel recommending me The Prophecy, too, which leaves one film. I recall rysmiel going on a lot about Jesus of Montreal, but I'm not sure how meaningful it would be to me, with only slight knowledge of the events of the NT...
