I've just discovered I've been banned from commenting in a friend's journal, whether on LJ or DW. If this person had a problem with things I'd said, it would have been polite at least to raise them with me. Well, I too can play the blunt weapon gambit: one defriending on LJ, DW, Facebook and RL coming up.

One doesn't get banned by accident on both LJ and DW. I've discovered this person has already disappeared from my friends list on Facebook, so presumably blocked me there too. Blocked in three different places: if this isn't a message of "I don't want to have anything to do with you", what is?

I know I and this person do not see eye to eye on certain religious matters, but to my knowledge we've never had an argument over it or anything else.

In any case, I'm sorry that someone you considered a friend has treated you so badly.

This person will be coming to your birthday party; given that there's only a small number of people involved, this is further disincentive for me to attend, I'm afraid. (I have been to one other event with a small number of people present where this person was there, but they turned up very late, which gave me, who'd been there a good while, a good excuse to leave not long after.)
