curious_reader wanted me to teach her how to leyn the first paragraph of the Shema, as some shuls sing it in unison at the appropriate point in the service. After a little time on a Shabbos afternoon convinced me she wasn't going to pick it up quickly, I proceeded (after Shabbos, natch) to record myself singing it, converted the recording into an MP3 and then emailed it to her.
I had fun filling in the description fields for the MP3. Artist: G-d, genre: Gospel, date: 2300 AM
*.
:o)* Give or take; I didn't go to the bother of looking academic estimates up.

The artist is generally considered to be the person who sings...
I'd be found out as a fraud in a moment; everyone knows G-d is a bass!
